I had the same issue today. 5 days after getting my phone when I unplugged the head phones, it never detected them being unplugged. Full resets didn't help. Took the phone back to the store and came out with a new one about 10 minutes later.

I had the same issue. I went to the Sprint store on Monday and the Palm rep was still there. After running the self diagnostic and showing me the reset option (hold the power key, click the ringer mute back and forth three times) everything worked fine. I think this was before the update but he said he had not seen the problem before either.

Any new device has issues. I am involved with Blackberry support with the Bold and they have significantly more issues with that device that I have heard of with the Pre. At least there was someone with Palm that I could talk to. As an enterprise, if we want to peek inside RIM's code or find out why a problem exists, we need an act of congress.
